This place does a nice job all around! It's small, though, so at peak times, it may be hard to be seated right away. It's worth a wait to sit, though, and dine here. The restaurant resides on a corner and wraps around on both street sides with seating. So it's great too for enjoying people watching whie dining. We had queso fundido, and we each had two tacos, Pollo y Champinones. The tacos were bigger and NOT street taco size. So we could have gotten by with just one per person. All food was well prepared and tasty. We had two servers, and they were both friendly and attentive, checking in on any needs and quality of plates. If you enjoy Mexican food, come here while in Holbox.

Guacamole was delicious. I ordered steak torta and that was also good. I believe our server's name is Cesar(according to my cousin) Awesome service.

Highly recommand this place. It seems fancy but the prices are cheap. The restaurant is very well decorated and offers a nice view. The tacos were insane my good (best we had so far), they have a special 4 tacos for 100 pesos (5), try it!

4.5 stars. Upscale in Holbox, El Ma. Carmita sits across from the town square. The music plays loud— probably to drown out the cabs, but therwise a nice setting to and catch whatever action is happening on the street. The huaraches and tacos were delicious and the guacamole was decorative. Kudos for the tasty sauces.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I am happy I gave it a try!! We Loved it so much we actually came back twice. The staff is super nice and the food is AMAZING. Try the "Huaracha — arrechera". You can thank me later ;) We also loved their Guacamole and their ceviche the drinks were also delicious. We will miss this place so much! By far one of the best restaurants on the island and well priced. If you're hesitating: trust me! You will not regret it.

This place is amazing! Best dinner we had in Mexico. The oysters are to die for! The staff is so kind, they serve a welcoming cocktail to every table. Do not miss this gem when visiting Holobox!

This place had a nice vibe and the food was delicious. We started off with oysters and they were incredible. My friends ordered the shrimp aguachile and I wish I would have ordered that as it was amazing. I got the fried octopus ceviche and thought it was good. It’s pricey though, but very good. Service was excellent.
